Spoilboard chair
The spoil board placed beneath the marble cutting machine is used to prevent surface damage and secure the material during the cutting process. As the process is repeated, vertically and horizontally cut lines unintentionally accumulate, forming a new surface on the wood. Boards that have served their purpose from the reclaimed wood container are transported to the workshop, dried, and coated with a synthetic resin for a new skin. This intentional design allows for the observation of properties at various angles and depths due to undulations and penetrations. The aim is to provide a fresh perspective by completely reversing or leading the original purpose and characteristics in the opposite direction.
